Searching for information about the TUCKER family of Spencer County. Thomas and Elizabeth Tucker moved to then-Shelby County in 1809, bought property on the dividing ridge between Elk Creek and Little Plum Creek. Donated land for the old Elk Creek Baptist Church and cemetery. Thomas died in 1848, Elizabeth in 1864. They are buried in an old cemetery in Dead Man's Curve near Taylorsville. Children were Hezekiah (m. Ruth HOWARD, Martha STOUT, Mary REASOR); William (m. Anna SHAW); Hazael (m. Nancy Jane COOPER); Elijah (m. Sarah STONE); Polly (m. William PARIS); Lucinda (m. Stephen BRIDWELL); Perlina (m. Stephen BRIDWELL); Caleb (m. Matilda STONE); and Nelson.

Searching for information on Robert TAGUE and wife Sarah RODMAN. Also interested in information on Robert's son Joseph and his wife Malinda ORTIS GILLESPY. Joseph was married in Gallatin Co. in Jan. of 1835. Both these families are listed in the Henry Co. census and in Shelby Co. Robert'S will in Henry Co. was in May of 1828.

Looking for information about the ELSBERRY family. John Jesse born in Shelby county in 1802. Unsure of parents believe to be William. Jesse made seven trips to Missouri leading settlers from Kentucky in the late 1820's. Jesse settled in Missouri and married Sarah Ann WEATHERFORD 1840. Believe she was probably from Kentucky also.

Catherine Chambers parents are William Chambers and Martha Culbertson. Robert and Catherine had a son, Preston B. Doak b. Feb 14, 1844 in Shelby County, Ky. d. June 6, 1927 in Oldham County, Ky. He married Nannie Long (b. Sept 22, 1851 d. Jan 11, 1914) on Oct 15, 1868 in Shelby County, Ky. Nannie Long's parents were William Long b. 1814 d. ?? and Mary E. Mason b. 1826 d. ???. David LOVE, Sr's will was written in Oldham County, KY 16 Aug 1822. He died 6 Dec 1830. He is listed in the Shelby County census in 1800 and 1820. He had three known son, John, Josephus or Joseph, and David and maybe a younger son William who died in his twenties. David served under Washington and was in camp at Valley Forge. I am looking for his parents and/or siblings. I am the Spencer County Coordinator and am posting this for one of my volunteers without computer access.
