This was in my grandmothers pictures.. I believe the younger man is my grandfather, Wyatt Adkins but would love to know who the bearded man is. Also believe this was taken when they lived at either Saint Paul or Tram. He was a miner at this time.

Willie Hughes, s/o Chester and Vady (Hicks) Hughes, Lackey, KY in Floyd County. Born August 6, 1922 in the Lackey, KY area. Married Alma Craycraft of Grayson, KY in Carter County and lived in Ashland, KY until his death October 14, 1993. Was the wonderful parents of 2 sons: Billy J. and Larry "Bucky" He had one older brother, Haskell, who also lived in Ashland, KY with his wife Deloris (last name unknown) and one son, Haskell "Hacky" Jr. Dad spoke very little about his family life in Floyd Co. or his time spent with the Army as a medic during World War 2.

Martha Stapleton Blanton Hall d/o John Stapleton & Margaret "Peggy" Salyers, was born Feb. 1846 and died 06-05-1918 Pike Co., KY. She married first William "Will" Blanton. Married second Wilson Henderson Hall on 07-25-1883 in Johnson Co., KY.

W. L. or M. L. Ford, was in a pink envelope; inscribed on the back of the picture was the note; to my intended Aug. --1874. picture was found in album belonging to Birdie Vaughn Childers (died abt 1986) of Richardson, Lawrence County, Ky. Birdie's daughter in law was a Ford. Don't know if that is the connection or if there is some other connection. The album was inscribed : to Lizzie Ford from sister Ella, Dec. 25, 1890. It is a beautiful collection of pictures.

William A (Big Bill-Willie) Burchett And Sara (Sallie) Wells Burchett. Bill was born in Cass Co. Mo. 9-April 1886. Sallie was born at Auxier, Ky. 17 Aug. 1882. They were married approximately 1906 in Floyd, co. They had five daughters and two sons. They lived all their lives in Floyd County, on Johns creek And at Cliff. Bill died Dec 9 1962. Sallie died Jan. 11 1972. Both are buried in the George cemetery at Cliff, Ky.

Willie & Haskell Hughes - mid 1930's Willie Hughes (left) and Haskell Hughes, sons of Chester & Vady (Hicks) Hughes at Lackey, KY in Floyd County. Willie (1922-1993) lived in Ashland, KY after serving in the Army. Survived by wife Alma (Craycraft) and 2 sons: Billy & Larry "Bucky" Hughes. William J. "Capt. Bolen Bill" Hall was born May 11th, 1825 and died July 28th, 1912 and on July 14, 1850 he married Florence Jones at Jones Fork Creek, Floyd county KY. Florence was the Daughter of "Old Clabe" Claibourne Jones. "Capt. Boleb Bill Hall" was the son of William John "Gunsmith Billy" Hall and Margaret Johnson. "Gunsmith Billy" was the son of Anthony Hall and Ruth Butler, Anthony was the son of Anthony Hall and Mary Hepple. Ruth's father was George Butler, and I do not know her mother's name. Bob Hall
