AR Phelps to Daniel Coleman
- 1859 Deed Book K p 434
This indenture made and entered into this 3rd day of Oct 1859 between AR Phelps
of the first part and Daniel Coleman of the second part, all parties of the
aforesaid county of Hickman and state of Kentucky. Witnesseth that for and in
consideration of the sum of one thousand three hundred dollars ($1300) in hand
paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and two hundred dollars ($200)
to be paid on the 25th day of Dec 1860 here this day granted bargained &
sold and by these presence do grand bargain sell alien and convey unto the said
Coleman, his heirs or assigns the following described tract of land or parcel of
land lying in the county & state aforesaid on the waters of Bayou De Chien
and beginning the north half of southwest quarter of section 35, township 2,
range 3 west containing 80 acres be the same more or less. To have & to hold
the above described tract or parcel of land with all and singular the
appurtenances there unto belonging unto him the said Daniel Coleman, his heirs
or assigns forever with general warranty. And Sarah A. Phelps, wife of said A R
Phelps hereby relinquishes her eight of dowering to the premises hereby conveyed
in witness of which we have hereunto set our names the day & date before

Commonwealth of Kentucky, Hickman County, I, E R Ray, Clerk of the county court
for the county aforesaid do certify that the foregoing deed from A R Phelps
& S A Phelps his wife to D. Coleman was on the 3rd day of Oct 1859 by A R
Phelps and on the 3rd day of Nov. 1859 by S A Phelps produced to me in my county
and acknowledged by said grantors to be their act & deed and said deed with
this certificate has been duly recorded in my office this 17th day of Nov. 1859
