Between 1800 and 1910, death records were maintained at the county-level. Between 1852-1910, despite legislation, counties did not consistently maintain vital records. In 1910, Kentucky required copies of the vital records to be sent to the newly established Office of Vital Statistics. The county, family Bibles, and churchs are good sources for records.
