Daniel & Malinda Hamilton Bolling David J. "Dove" Vaughan of Prestonsburg. He was the son of William J. and Lillie Mae Osborne Vaughan of Prestonsburg. He married Orbie Prater, Daughter of Lum and Caroline Johnson Prater. Submitted by Ron Vaughan

Della (Sizemore) Moore and daughter Shirley Ann taken in 1949. Della�s parents were Mollie & Willie Sizemore. She married Arnold Moore, son of Harry & Fanny (Stumbo) Moore. Della, Arnold and Shirley now live in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Alexander "Alex" or "Elec" Meade, son of John Lemuel Meade and Lewzana Hester Burgess.

Sitting on the porch of his son, Albert Richard "Alb" Meade and Nellie Lee Compton Meade.

Alex was born June 9, 1882 in Pike County, KY. He married Linda "Lindy" Stephens October 17, 1907.

Alex was a Farmer. He built a log cabin for his family on Hurricane Creek in Pike County, Kentucky.

His grandchildren, who called him Pa, loved him very much. Alex is remembered as a happy man, full of life. He used to come down the road, thumbs tucked into his overall straps, singing "Happy Family Baking Powder," a commercial on the radio.

He never remarried after the death of his beloved 27 year old wife, Lindy. Alex lived with his daughter Hester Meade Blair until his death on August 8, 1956. He is buried in the Albert Meade Family Cemetery on Hurricane Creek, Pike County, KYon theproperty of Charles & Shelby Meade.

Mahala Mosley Branham, born 22 Nov 1822, Tennessee, and died 12 Dec 1912, Dickenson Co., Virginia, parents names unverified. She was marr. to John C. Branham, 1818-1908, a son of William or James William Branham and Charity Gibson on 6 Jan 1842 by Daniel Steele, Deacon of the Methodist-Episcopal Church in Pike Co., Kentucky. Pike Co., KY Marr. Rec. They were parents of 10 known children: Elizabeth, Joseph, Richard, Charity, Tandy, Adaline, Sarah Jane, Milly, Clifton & Mary Ann "Polly" Branham.

Photograph of my great-grandparents, Malcolm & Lula Kendrick Hubbard. Malcolm was the son of William and Sarah "Sallie" Hammons Hubbard. Malcolm was born August 23, 1871 in Floyd Co., KY. Lula was the daughter of George T. and Dicy May Kendrick. Lula was born December 30, 1881 in Floyd Co., KY. Both Malcolm and Lula died in Ohio and are buried at Fairview Cemetery in Centerpoint, OH.

Malcolm Hubbard House

Malcolm & Lula Kendrick Hubbard with Mary Alice Hubbard Burchett and Ruth Owens Burchett. Malcolm and Mary Alice Hubbard were the children of William M. and Sarah "Sallie" Hammons Hubbard. Lula Kendrick was the daughter of George T. and Dicy May Kendrick. Ruth Burchett was the daughter of Floyd and Mary Alice Hubbard Burchett. Ruth was married to James Harvey Owens. This photograph was given to me by my cousin, Naomi Owens Day. I believe the photograph was taken about 1945 in Ohio.

Marcus Leon Kingdom Jones He was known as King Jones. He was born 12-12-1870 and he died 5-5-1951. His father was Amrose Jones. King Jones was first married to Mary Howell and second to Sarah (Justice) Smith.

Marie Daniels is holding a trophy that her team won at the debates while she attended school at Wayland High School, Kentucky. Virginia Hatfield and Levelein McConner seated beside her. They won the debates 3 years in a row.

On June 18 we had the D. Emit and Virgie Hamilton family reunion in McDowell Ky.. Present were four surviving children, Stella Howell 91, Margie Parsons 84, Draxie Newsome 78, and Elmer Hamilton 76. They are living history of Frasure Creek and Floyd County. They all have very good memories.

Martha Hamilton Mitchell d. 07-01-1908 d/o Robert E. Lee & Elizabeth Akers Hamilton w/o Lee Mitchell Photo from New Salem Association of Old Regular Baptist Sept. 1987 Martha Jane Harris Clarke. Postmistress of the Cliff, KY post office and sheand my ggrandfather, William Sherman Tecumseh Clarke lived at Brandy Keg.B. 11-2-1899 in VA D. 2-14-1954 in Floyd Co. Marriage-9-12-1888 at thehome of Jefferson Davis Harris in Floyd Co. Her home was in Brandy Keg andwas torn down to create the Jenny Wiley lake. Her house was located approximately where the boat dock is currently located. My dad remembers visiting with her whileshe was postmistress of Cliff, KY. He remembers the US Mail being delivered to her by mule in big leather satchels on the mule's back.
