Alexander "Alex" or "Elec" Meade, son of John Lemuel Meade and Lewzana Hester Burgess. Sitting on the porch of his son, Albert Richard "Alb" Meade and Nellie Lee Compton Meade. Alex was born June 9, 1882 in Pike County, KY. He married Linda "Lindy" Stephens October 17, 1907. Alex was a Farmer. He built a log cabin for his family on Hurricane Creek in Pike County, Kentucky. His grandchildren, who called him Pa, loved him very much. Alex is remembered as a happy man, full of life. He used to come down the road, thumbs tucked into his overall straps, singing "Happy Family Baking Powder," a commercial on the radio. He never remarried after the death of his beloved 27 year old wife, Lindy. Alex lived with his daughter Hester Meade Blair until his death on August 8, 1956. He is buried in the Albert Meade Family Cemetery on Hurricane Creek, Pike County, KYon theproperty of Charles & Shelby Meade. Submitted by Lisa Anderson |

Branham, 1818-1908, a son of William or James William Branham and Charity Gibson on 6 Jan 1842 by Daniel Steele, Deacon of the Methodist-Episcopal Church in Pike Co., Kentucky. Pike Co., KY Marr. Rec. They were parents of 10 known children: Elizabeth, Joseph, Richard, Charity, Tandy, Adaline, Sarah Jane, Milly, Clifton & Mary Ann "Polly" Branham. |

Lula was the daughter of George T. and Dicy May Kendrick. Lula was born December 30, 1881 in Floyd Co., KY. Both Malcolm and Lula died in Ohio and are buried at Fairview Cemetery in Centerpoint, OH. Malcolm Hubbard House Malcolm & Lula Kendrick Hubbard with Mary Alice Hubbard Burchett and Ruth Owens Burchett. Malcolm and Mary Alice Hubbard were the children of William M. and Sarah "Sallie" Hammons Hubbard. Lula Kendrick was the daughter of George T. and Dicy May Kendrick. Ruth Burchett was the daughter of Floyd and Mary Alice Hubbard Burchett. Ruth was married to James Harvey Owens. This photograph was given to me by my cousin, Naomi Owens Day. On June 18 we had the D. Emit and Virgie Hamilton family reunion in McDowell Ky.. Present were four surviving children, Stella Howell 91, Margie Parsons 84, Draxie Newsome 78, and Elmer Hamilton 76. Floyd Co. Her home was in Brandy Keg andwas torn down to create the Jenny Wiley lake.
Her house was located approximately where the boat dock is currently located. My dad
remembers visiting with her whileshe was postmistress of Cliff, KY. He remembers the US
