George W. L. Nesbitt was born about 1842. He enlisted as a Sergent on September 14, 1861 in Co. E, 48th Illinois Infantry US.
He was mustered out as a 1st Lieutenant on August 15, 1865.
He lived near Ford's Ferry in Crittenden County in 1899.
He married Mary Maynard a dau. of N. Maynard of Marion, Ky.
He is buried at Freedom Cem., Crittenden Co., Ky.

She was born October 27, 1845 in Caldwell County, Ky.
She drew Widow's Pension # 3145, filing from Crittenden County, Ky. in 1914.

Samuel Arthur Nunn CSA was born in 1837. He died in 1933 and was buried in the Rosebud Cemetery in Crittenden County, Kentucky.

James Whittset Paris was from Crittenden County, Ky.
He served in Co. H, 20th Ky. Infantry USA.
He was enrolled on November 12, 1862 and mustered into the service on January 6, 1862 as a Private.
He was discharged on May 11, 1863.
He was described in regimental records as being 5' 11" tall, light complexion, grey eyes, black hair, and weighing between 148- 154 pounds.
He is buried in the Pleasant Hills Cemetery.

James Henry Phillips was born in Crittenden County, Ky. in 1841
He served in Co. I & K, 3rd Ky. Infantry CSA.

Richard E. Pickens was born about 1843, the son of Israel H. and Elizabeth Lamb Pickens.
He served in Capt. Merriwether's Confederate Cavalry and under Gen. N.B. Forrest. He enlisted in the fall of 1861.
He served the duration of the war, being mustered out on April 9, 1865.
He and a companion buried their guns under a tree and went home.
In 1872 he married Miss Nora Linthicum.
He moved to Marion, Kentucky in 1880.
He and Nora were the parents of five children: Richie and Curtis Pickens of Henderson, Otho Pickens from Arizona, Mrs. C.C. Taylor and Mrs. Maurie Boston of Marion.
Richard died on Tuesday evening, June 13, 1922, at his home in Marion.
He had been in ill health for over a year and had been confined to his home for several months.
A brother, Israel, of Marion, also survived him.
Richard was buried on Wednesday at Mapleview Cemetery in Marion.

J.P. Pierce Col. Chenoweth's Cavalry CSA was born December 6, 1841. He died January 18, 1916 and was buried in lot G-11 in the Mapleview Cemetery in Marion, Kentucky.
