Union Rice Cemetery

In 2004, DHL began construction of a new Hub off Mt. Zion Road. Located on the construction site was the Lewis Rice Cemetry. This cemetery was in poor condition and a decision was made to move the buriels to the Union Rice Cemetery. This is a picture of those headstones in their new resting place. The individual headstones and stone detail can be found on the page for the R surnames.

There are several stones in the cemetery that are unreadable. This one is covered with moss, although you can make out that there are inscriptions on the stone.

This is a broken stone with no name. The date on the stone is: Died October 6, 1879, Aged 23 yrs, 11 mos, 8 ds. The inscription at the bottom of the stone is unreadable.

This concrete slab has no inscription anywhere and appears to have been a base for a monument.

This small stone is near the back left of the cemetery near a tree. No name, no dates.
