Relationship to deceased: She is the sister-in-law of my paternal Great-Grandfather, Charles Logan Griffith. She is also the sister of the wife of Charles Logan Griffith, Martha Ann (Finnell) Griffith. They are the daughters of Vardiman and Nancy (Sleet) Finnell.

The death angel swept over our community and removed from our midst Mrs. Jeff Griffith, on Monday evening, Oct. 11th. The funeral took place at New Bethel church of which she was a consisent member, Friday, at 2 p. m., in the presence of a large gathering of friends who met to pay their last tribute of respect to the departed. Rev. B. H. Payne preached the funeral discourse, assisted by Rev. DeMoisey, of Walton. Undertaker C. Scott Chambers, of Walton, had charge of the funeral
NOTE: Above Susie's obituary in the same column of this paper is a notation that her husband is in ill health and reads: "T. J. Griffith is reported not quite so well at this writing." He died on October 26th, 15 days after Susie. They did not have any children.
