Monday At The Home of His Daughter In Covington. Remains Brought Here and Then Taken to Burlington An Immense Crowd Attended.
The sudden death of B. B. Hume, age 59, a former resident of Boone county at the home of his daughter Mrs. Godfrey Gotzin, 503 Garrard street, Covington, came as a grat shock to his many friends throughout Boone county. He had been in poor health for some time but attended to his business as usual, bieng engaged in the automobile business on Fifth street, Covington.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hume, deceased, and was a lifelong resident of Boone county. He was very popular with a large circle of friends and was sheriff of Boone county for two terms and was also deputy sheriff. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Odd Fellows of Burlington.
Undertaker C. Scott Chambers went to Covington and brought the remains to his home here on North Main street where the remains were viewed by many of Walton. Wednesday the remains were taken to Burlington and as a special honor were taken to the court house where they were viewed by hundreds. Rev Edgar Riley, one of his old friends, held religious services after which the remains were placed in the Burlington Cemetery in . . . . .(article is cut off)
