They were in Shelby County, by 1792 is the first record I have for Him being listed there. I am hoping to get some more info on the family shortly but for now here is what I have:

Paul Born c1760 in Penn married Hester Burns in Newtown Penn. January 15, 1784. The next reference we find is a Paul Brooks listed on the Berkley County, Virginia Tax list, then Shelby County, Kentucky In 1792.

Children:
1. Thomas Brooks, born May 4, 1791 in Pennsylvania.  He married Nancy Doggett May 13, 1813 in Shelby County, Kentucky.

2. Charles Brooks, born 1793 in Shelby County, Kentucky, married Margaret Foster, daughter of Francis Foster & Polly ?

3. Martha Brooks, born 1795 in Shelby County, Kentucky, married William Abner Long April 1, 1817, daughter of Mary Morris.

4. Samuel Brooks, born 1800 in Shelby County, Kentucky, married Elizabeth Foster, daughter of Faranis Foster and Polly ?? on January 1, 1821 in Shelby County, Kentucky.
