Frances Dorothy Adkins
Frances Dorothy Adkins, 90, Fargo, died Friday, February 2, 2007 in Manor Care Health Services Fargo, under the care of Hospice of the Red River valley.
Frances Bowser was born December 3, 1916 in San Juan Bautista, California to James H and Eloisa (Marentis) Bowser. Frances grew up and attended schools in San Juan Bautista and Hollister, CA. After graduation she moved to San Francisco where she worked on Ferry boats, the VA Hospital, and waitressed.
She married James C Avery who died while overseas in the Army during World War II. On July 25, 1948 she was united in marriage to Andarew Lawrence Adkins. Mr Adkins died in 1980.
Mrs. Adkins is survived by two sons, William (Sharon), San Diego, CA and Chester, Kearns, UT; three daughters, Imogene (Michael) Brasher, Stigler, OK, Joie (Butch) Muhle, Fargo, ND, and Honora (Clyde) Pollard, Uvalde, TX. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Frances was also preceded in death by a son, Edward, a daughter-in-law, Leslie, 2 brothers, James Jr and Earl; and 2 sisters, Lillian and Alberta.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, ND.
