Mrs. Helen Baird, age 77, died at her home in Pine Knot Wednesday, August 6th after a very short illness. Aunt Helen, as she was known, was a kind and loveable mother, was a kind and lovable mother and friend to all. Her popularity in the community was shown by the large group of friends who gathered at the home to show their respect.
Funeral services were held on Friday at 11 AM, at the Hayes Creek Church of God, with the Rev. Lons Lovett and Rev Ledford Perry officiating.
Mrs Baird is survived by two sons, Corbett Baird, Pine Knot and Dewey Baird Cincinnanti, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs George Morgan Cincinnati, Ohio, and one brother JohnDoepel, of Corbin; one sister Mrs M C Creekmore, Norwood, Ohio, and a host of friends. Burial was in the Jellico Creek Cemetery, Jellico Creek, Ky.
Pall bearers were; M S Fannin, Jeff Anderson, Earl Cordell, T. Chitwood, Raoph Chaney, Dorman Strunk
