MUNCIE- Longtime Resident ANNA ALICE DAVIS,77, died Wednesday in Williamsburg
Village after a long illness. Mrs Davis had been a Muncie resident since 1940.
She had worked at Wolfe's Ice Cream for 20 yrs and also worked at the Delaware
County Home. She was a 52 year member of Memorial Drive Wesleyan Church, where
she taught Sunday School and was the director of Youth Services. Survivors
include a son, and his wife, 2 daughters, a brother and his wife, 11
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchilren. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Roy R Davis, a brother, 3 sisters and a grandson. Services will be at
2:00pm Saturday in Memorial Drive Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Gardens of
Memory. Calling will be from 4-8pm today at Parson Mortuary and an hour before
the services Saturday at the church. Memorials may be sent to Wesleyan Memorial
Church.

HERSHALL M DAVIS-73, formerly of 2716 E 16th Street, died Thursday in Parker
City Health Care Center. Mr Davis was born in Wayne County Kentucky and had
lived in Delaware and Randolph Counties area for the past 50 years. Survivors
include, 2 sisters, Mrs Stella Williams and Mrs Bonnie Marcum, both of Muncie, a
brother, Roy Davis (wife Anna), Parker City and several nieces and nephews. He
was preceded in death by his brothers, Wendell, Clarence, Obie Lee, Ottis Glen,
Everett, Walter, Bertha and Gertie Davis. Services will be at 2:00pm Saturday in
Parson Mortuary Adams Chapel with Rev. Phillip Waters officating. Burial will be
in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie. Calling will be 4-8pm today at the
mortuary.

L. ISREAL DAVIS, 61
L. Isreal Davis, 61, 606 N Eastwood died unexpectedly Tuesday at his home. He
was born in Shoopman, Ky and moved to Muncie in 1953. He was the founding pastor
of Bethel United Baptist Church and helped with the physical construction of the
facility. He pastored there for more than 21 years. He was a member of the
Farmland Lodge 308, F & AM, and Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. Survivors
include his daughter, Connie L Davis, Indianapolis, 2 sons; Rick ( wife Deborah)
Muncie, and Kevin J Davis ( Wife Teresa) Mooreland. 3 sisters; Jacquline Glass,
Auburn, Betty West ( husband Alvis) Riverview, Florida and Charlene Vohenhals (
husband Earl) Alexandria, 4 brothers; James Hollis Davis ( wife Pauline) Lloyd C
Davis ( wife Stella) both of Stearns Ky. Josh L Davis ( wife Louise) Muncie.
Hoyt Davis ( wife Christine) Sidney, Ohio. 4 grandchildrrn, 1 great grandchild
Several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E
and Zoe Dobbs Davis. 2 sisters, Maude and Mary Doris Davis, 2 brothers , Stanley
and Paul Davis. Services will be at 1:00pm Friday in Parson Mortuary Adams
Chapel with Rev Pete Powell officiating. Burial will be in Gardens Memory
Cemetery. Calling will be 3-7pm today at the mortuary where Masonic Memorial
Services will be at 7pm.

MRS LUVADA DAVIS,89, 149 Middletown Gardens, widow of William B Davis died
Thursday Morning in Riverview Convalescent Home in Muncie. She was in Ill health
since August of last year. She was a native of Wayne County Kentucky, moving to
Muncie in 1947. She was a member of Bethel United Baptist Church. Surviving
are 2 daughters; Mrs Stella Williams and Mrs Bonnie Marcum, both of Muncie, 5
sons; Wendell, Indianapolis, Clarence, Stupensville, Ky, Ottis, Hershall and Roy
all of Muncie, 40 grandchilern, and 67 great-grandchildern. 3 sisters, Mrs Monie
Burnett, Coopersville, Ky, Mrs Seckie Gregory, Monticello, Ky and Mrs Ola
Gibson, Stearns, Kentucky. Several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:30
am Monday at Bethel United Baptist Church with Rev. Isreal Davis and Rev Ross
Dobbs officating. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may
call from 2-5 and 7-9pm Sunday at Parson Mortuary or an hour before the
services.

OTTIS GLEN DAVIS, 68, 315 Howard, died Friday. Mr Davis was born in Monticello,
Kentucky and has lived in Muncie, most of his life. He worked at American
Lawnmower for 34 yrs before retiring. Survivors include his daughter, Muncie, 2
brothers; Roy (wife Anna) and Hershall both of Parker City, 2 sisters, Stella
Williams and Bonnie Marcum, both of Muncie, and a grandchild. Services will be

MUNCIE- ROY R DAVIS, 84 Muncie, died Tuesday in Liberty Villiage Nursing Home
after a long illness. Mr Davis moved to Muncie in 1940. He was a farmer, and an
Orchard Apple Worker for many years. He worked at American Lawnmower before
retiring in 1978. He had been a member of Memorial Drive Wesleyan Church since
1950, and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Survivors include hi wife of 46
years, Anna Evans Davis, a son, ans 2 daughters, 2 sisters Stella Williams and
Bonnie Marcum, 7 grandchildern, 3 step grandchildern, and 7 step-great-grandchildern.
7 brothers and 2 sisters are deceased. Serivices will be at 10:00 am Saturday in
Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory. Calling will be 4-8pm
Friday at Parson Mortuary and an hour before services Saturday at the church.

TRECIA DAVIS FLOYD- Age 59, of Monticello, Ky passed away Wednesday August 4,
1999, at Central Baptist Hosptial in Lexington. She was born in Monticello Ky on
February 4, 1940 the daughter of Clarence and Letha (Gregory) Davis. She was
married and her husband, still Survives. She is also survived by 3 childern;3
brothers; 4 sisters and 5 grandchildern. A graveside funeral service was held
Saturday August 7, 1999 at 2:00pm at Elk Spring Cemetery with Brother Dewey

WILLIAM B DAVIS, 87, 149 Middletown Gardens, died early Thursday in Ball
Hospital. A native of Parmleysville, Ky, he had lived in Muncie 28 years and was
a retired American Lawmower Employee. Mr Davis and his wife Luvada celebrated
their 65th wedding anniversity in January. He was a member and a deacon at
Eastwood Bethel Baptist Church. Surviving besides his wife are; 5 sons, Roy,
Ottis and Hershall all of Muncie, Charles W , Indianapolis, and Clarence,
Monticello, Kentucky; 3 daughters, Mrs Stella Williams, Mrs Bonnie Marcum and
Mrs Gertie Hill, Bell Farm, Ky. 43 grandchildern and 62 great-grandchildern.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary from 1-4 and 7-9pm Friday, and at the
Eastwood Church one hour before services at 2:00 pm Saturday. Rev Isreal Davis
and Rev. Ross Dobbs will officate. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

ADA GREGORY, DIES KENTUCKY NATIVE
Ada Gregory,68, 301 Council Street, died Monday at the Caylor Nickel Clinic,
Bluffton, following a extended illness. Born in Wayne County Kentucky. Mrs
Gregory had lived in Muncie 31 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by 3 sons; Lester, Carl and Paul
Gregory, a daughter Thelma Sears of Muncie, 2 sisters; Mrs Bertha Crabtree of
Monticello, Kentucky and Mrs Clona Koger of Hatton, Indiana. 11 grandchildren, 6
great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:30 am
Thursday in the Latter Day Saints Church with Bishop John Mason officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary from
3-5 and 7-9pm today or at the Church before services.

Ada Gregory was born November 17, 1894 in the Parmleysville Community of Wayne
County, and departed this life Sunday August 2nd at the Wayne County Hospital,
reaching the age of 92 years old. She was the daughter of Cullen and Luscetta
Burnett Koger, both of whom preceeded her in death. She was united in marriage
with Willie Gregory who passed away February 24, 1970, and to this union 8
children were born, Surviving are her 8 children, Dillard Gregory of Cinncinnati
Ohio, Willard Gregory of Westchester, Ohio, Clyde and Edwin Gregory of Muncie
Indiana, Clifford Gregory of Stearns, Ruby Phipps, of Muncie Indiana. Lela
Gregory of Cincinnati Ohio, Marie Simpson of Florence, Kentucky and Edward
Gregory of Monticello, 47 grandchildren, and 95 great grandchildren, and many
neices and nephews, other relatives and may friends remain to mourn her passing.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband and 2 children, Edna Maples
and Alta Waters, five brothers and 3 sisters. She was a member of the Elk Spring
Valley Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member as long as her
health permitted. Funeral services were held, Tuesday August 4 at 1:00 pm in the
Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church with brother Claire E Baker officating. Burial

ARLIE GREGORY, 66
Arlie Gregory, 66, 2512 S Blaine Street died Saturday Evening in the evening in
the emergency room in Ball Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Stearns
Kentucky, he moved to Muncie in 1944. He was employed at Chevrolet in Muncie for
32 years before retiring in 1980. Mr Gregory was a member of the Memorial
Baptist Church, Avondale Sympathy Club, and United Auto Workers Local 499.
Survivors include 2 sons; James and Johnnie Gregory, both of Muncie,3 daughters;
Ethel Wright, Helen Anderson, and Tara Moore all of Muncie. A brother, Joe
Dobbs, Monticello, Kentucky, a sister, Tennessee Smith, Muncie. Six half
brothers, 6 half sisters, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren are deceased.
Services will be at 10 am Wednesday in Parson Mortuary Adams Chapel with Rev.
Frank Bradburn officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling will
be from 2-5 and 7-9pm Tuesday and before services Wednesday.

ALTA MAE GREGORY BENGE, age 97, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed
away Sunday, September 19, 1999 in the Rosewalk Villiage Healthcare Center. She
was born in Coopersville, Kentucky on February 6, 1902, the daughter of John S.
and Sarah Stinson Gregory. Both parents preceded her in death. She married
Herman E. Benge Sr., who preceded her in death. She is survived by 5 children
Buford Benge of Plymouth, Indiana, Herman E. Benge Jr., Velda Tucker, Evelyn
Young, and Virginia Trent, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; 9 grandchildren; and 18
great grandchildren. She was a homemaker but had been Assistant Postmaster in
Delta, Kentucky for 15 years, retiring in 1950. She was a member of Burge
Terrace Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Funeral services were held
Tuesday, September 21, 1999 in the church. Graveside services were held
Wednesday, September 22, 1999 in Elk Springs Cemetery with Brother Coy Webb

ALTON GREGORY- November 7 1919- June 1, 2003
Alton Gregory, age 83, passed away Sunday June 1, 2003 at the Golden Years
Nursing Home. He was born in Wayne County Kentucky on November 7, 1919, the son
of the late Denney & Seckie Burnett Gregory. On April 12, 1942 , he married
Velva Watson Gregory, who preceeded him in death on May 18, 2000. He is survived
by 5 childern, Teary Troxell, Irene Myers, Leonard, Leland and Conley Gregory,
two brothers, Hazel and Glenn Gregory, nine grandchildern, five great
grandchildern, and many neices, nephews and other relatives. Preceeding him in
death were two childern; Louise Stinson and Guy Estill Gregory. He had accepted
Christ as his savior and was a member of the Taylor's Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday June 4, 2003 in the funeral home chapel
with Bro. Harvey Atkinson officiating. Burial was in the Taylor Grove Cemetery.

BESSIE MAE GREGORY LYONS, age 87, of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Wednesday,
October 27, 1999 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. She
was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on April 22, 1912, the daughter of Jeff and
Sophia Sharp Gregory. Both parents preceded her in death. She is survived by 4
children Shirley Sterrett of Sarasota, Florida, Mable Kidd of Monticello,
Kentucky, Lewis Dobbs of Lafayette, Indiana, and Bertha Snelling of Cincinnati,
Ohio; 3 sisters Bertha Hollingsworth, Martha Garrett, and Dean Lawson; 17
grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding
her in death are 4 children Willard, Wendell, Vernon and Wanda Decker; 5
brothers Owsley, Clair, John, Arnold and Garney Gregory; and 1 grandchild. She
was a member of the Greenbusch Baptist Church in Lafayette, Indiana. Funeral
services were held Friday, November 15, 1999 in the Soller Baker Funeral Home
with Brother James Chase officiating. Burial was in the Springvale Cemetery.

BONNIE MAE GREGORY 71
A Native of Kentucky, Mrs Bonnie Mae Gregory, 71, 103 S Biltmore Avenue, died
Sunday afternoon in Ball Hospital after a short illness. She was the widow of
the Reverend James Gregory who died in 1968. A native of Monticello Kentucky,
she had lived in Muncie for 34 years and retired in 1958 from Durham
Manufacturing. Mrs Gregory was a charter member of Southern Baptist Church on
20th Street. She taught Sunday School at the church for 25 years. Survivors
include 2 daughters; Mrs Katherine Scaggs and Mrs Maxine Cummings of Muncie, One
son Wallace W Gregory of Muncie, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 9 am in Southern United Baptist Church with
Rev. James Sewell and Rev. Louie Davis officiating. The body will be taken to
Hickey Funeral Home in Monticello Kentucky where services will be conducted
Thursday. Burial will be in Canada Creek Cemetery, Coopersville Kentucky.
NOTE: Daughter of Sarah Jane Koger & Miles Gregory, Grandaughter of Mordecai
Gregory & Matilda Vaughn & James Koger and Elizabeth Gregory. The "Canada Creek
Cemetery" is called the Gregory-Corder Cemetery, Wayne County Kentucky.

Mr Clifford Gregory of Stearns, Kentucky, died September 27, 2001 at the
Veterans Hospital in Lexington Kentucky. He was 75 years old. Funeral Services
were held, Sunday, September 30, 2001 at 2 pm in the Chapel of the Pine Knot
Funeral Home with Rev. Jr Phillips and Harvey Matthews officiating. Burial was
in the Corder Cemetery. He was born December 1, 1925 at Shoopman Kentucky to the
late Willie and Ada Koger Gregory. He was married September 8, 1950 in Newport
Kentucky to Ruby A Matthews Gregory, owned and operated Gregory's Service
Station on Kentucky Highway 93 in the Wolfe Ridge Community for 40 years from
1957-1997. He served his country in WWII in the United States Army as a military
policeman in the 86th division. He was a member of the New Haven Baptist Church
and the Kinne Slaven American Legion Post 115, and the Black Hawk division on
the 86th Infantry. And a former fire commissioner for the West McCreary Fire
Department. Besides his parents, 4 brothers preceeded him death, Edward Edwin,
Clyde, Dillard Ray, and Willard, 5 sisters also preceeded him death. Edna
Maples, Marie Gregory, Alda May Watters, Rose and Edith Irene Gregory. Survivors
include his wife Ruby, and 4 sons. Bruce Wayne Gregory of Stearns Kentucky,
Lindell and Vicki Gregory of Stearns, Gary and Diane Gregory of Pine Knot and
Darrell (Jean Tomes) of Cinncinnati, 4 grandchildren, Jordan and Tyler Gregory,
Lisa Tomes, and Linda Kallschmidt. There are 2 surviving sisters, Lela Gregory
of Cincinnati and Ruby Phipps of Muncie, Indiana. Pine Knot Funeral Home in

DILLARD GREGORY SERVICES TUESDAY
Dillard Gregory, 54, 3520 Kilgore Avenue, died Sunday morning at the home of his
mother in law, Mrs Mazie UpChurch, 103 Maple Street. He had been in ill health
for some time but his death was unexpected. Mr Gregory was born in Mt Pisgah
Kentucky, and came to Muncie in 1948. He was employed by Broderick Company for
23 years and more recently worked for Shurthon Inc. He served with the Army in
the Pacific, during WWII. Surviving are 4 sons; Bobby, Bruce, Larry and Ronnie,
one daughter, Doris, all of Muncie, 4 brothers; Hazel and Glen, both of
Frankfurt, Willard of Muncie, and Ott of Monticello, a sister; Mrs Lille Dobbs
of California. 9 grandchildren and a great grandson. Services will be conducted
at 3:30 pm Tuesday in the Meeks Mortuary by Rev. Paul Brown of Selma Church of
the Nazarene. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory. Friends may call at the
Mortuary from 3-5pm and 7-9 pm Monday. And prior to services Tuesday. Memorials

DONALD S. GREGORY, age 62, of Twyford Point Road in Wayne County, Kentucky
passed away Friday, February 18, 2000 at Wayne County Hospital. He was born in
McCreary County, Kentucky on June 21, 1937, the son of Delbert and Bertie Coffey
Gregory. Both parents preceded him in death. He married Vela Lou Beechboard
(Dobbs) Gregory, who survives. He is also survived by 3 step-children Edwin
Howard Dobbs, Ina Mae Dobbs Blevins, and Betty Lorraine Dobbs Sweet Sullivan
Dawes, all of Monticello, Kentucky; 2 brothers Denzil Gregory and Russell
Gregory, both of Monticello, Kentucky; 5 sisters Barbara Bell, Imogene Humble,
Ella Dean Humble, Ruth Thompson, all of Monticello, Kentucky, and Phyllis Krock
of Piqua, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in
death is a brother Marlin Gregory; and 2 brothers and 1 sister that died in
infancy. He was retired from Gamble Brothers Corp. and was an active participant
in the Wayne County Adult Health Care Center. He was a member of the Pleasant
Ridge Baptist Church in McCreary County, Kentucky. Funeral services were held
Monday, February 21, 2000 at 1 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Brother
Kenneth Thompson and Brother Curtis Burnett officiating. Burial was in Parnell

Dova L Gregory,74, died Tuesday at her home. Mrs. Gregory, who moved to Muncie
in 1946 from Griffin Kentucky, was a homemaker. She attended Light Baptist
Church. Survivors include 2 sons; Shellie Gregory ( wife Janet) and Ancil
Gregory ( wife Dorothy) both of Muncie, a daughter Lana Moore ( husband Robert)
Muncie, 2 step sons, John Gregory (wife Terry) and James Gregory (wife Delores)
two stepdaughters; Ethel Wright (husband Lonnie) and Helen Anderson ( husband
Dave) both of Muncie, four half brothers Theo Gregory,Lawerence Gregory, Carl
Gregory and Roy Gregory all of Cincinnati, three sisters; Josephine Shepard,

Dovie Marie Gregory,77,2601 S Blaine St. died Monday at her home after a long
illness. She born in Parmleysville Kentucky, and came to Muncie in 1966. She was
a member of Westside United Baptist Church. Survivor's include a daughter,
Geneva Waters (husband Delon), Muncie, 5 sons, Regal Gregory,(wife Rillie)
Clifford Gregory (wife Delma) Glen Gregory (wife Betty) Bill Gregory (wife
Patricia) and Charlie Gregory, all of Muncie. A sister Christine Goble of New
Castle, 29 grandchildren,22 great grandchildren. four step grandchildren. 1o
step great grandchildren. and several neices and nephews. Her husband Edgar died
in 1975, a daughter Della Buck died in 1973 and another daugher Grace Kidd, died
in 1977. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers. Services will be at 10 am

Edgar Gregory, 62 of 1810 E 16th Street, died at his daughters residence early
Thursday after an extended illness. Mr. Gregory was born in Monticello Kentucky
and moved to Muncie in 1966 from Stearns Kentucky. Prior to his illness he was
employed at American Lawnmower Co. Mr. Gregory was a member of Bell Hill Baptist
Church in Kentucky. He is survived by his wife Dovie, 2 daughters, Mrs. Grace
Kidd and Mrs. Geneva Woody, Muncie, 5 sons; Regal, Clifford, Glenn, Bill and
Charlie of Muncie, one brother, Homer Gregory of Muncie, one sister, Roxie
Coffey of Stearns Kentucky, 26 grandchildren. Services will be at 10:00 am
Saturday at the Parson Mortuary with Rev. Ross Dobbs officiating. Burial will be

EDWARD GREGORY
Edward Gregory, 82, 1519 S Liberty Street, died Friday night after a lengthy
illness. Mr. Gregory was born in Parmleysville Kentucky and attended schools
there. He employed at Stearns Coal Co in McQuirry County for 44 years and
retired from Broderick after 27 years. Survivors include his wife Grace Gregory,
3 daughters and 2 son in laws, Ilean and Jack Tobias, Muncie, Lois and Vernon
Wages, Nevada, and Evalee McKinley, Muncie, 2 brothers, Willard Gregory,
Cincinnati, and Clifford Gregory, Sterns, 2 sisters, Lela Shoopman, Cincinnati,
and Ruby Phipps Muncie, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Services
will be at 1:00 om in the Parson Mortuary, Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Elm
Ridge. Calling will be 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Saturday.

ESTIL GREGORY, age 74, of the Wray Hill Community of Wayne County, Kentucky
passed away Wednesday, July 21, 1999 at Wayne County Hospital in Monticello,
Kentucky. He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on July 10, 1925, the son of
John Gregory and Margaret Hill Gregory. Both parents preceded him in death. He
is survived by 4 children David Gregory, Margaret Crabtree, Joyce Crabtree, and
Glenna Gunter, all of Monticello, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild;
and 1 step great-grandchild. He was employed at Bertram Lumber Mill. Funeral
services were held Friday, July 23, 1999 at 2 P.M. in the funeral home chapel
with Brother Lee Winchester officiating. Burial was in the Carl Kidd Cemetery.

MUNCIE- Glenn O Gregory,58,died Monday at Ball Hospital. He was born in Kentucky
and attended schools there. He worked for Dynamerica and was a member of
Westside United Baptist Church. Survivor's include 2 sons; Troy Gregory (wife
Julie), Randy Gregory (wife Sabrina), 2 daughters Leisa Entsmiger (husband
James) and Treisa Huff ( husband John), 4 brothers, Regal Gregory (wife Rillie),

Gregory, a sister Geneva Waters ( husband Delon) and 7 grandchildren. He was
preceeded in death by 2 sisters. Services will be Wednesday in the Parson

Grace T. Gregory, 82
Grace Troxell Gregory 82, Muncie went to be with the Lord after an extended
illness at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born April 8, 1920 in Paint Cliff, KY
to William and Mattie Davis Clark. Mrs. Gregory attended school in KY and was a
domestic homemaker. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and attended
Bethel United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two
husbands, Hilleary Troxell and Edward Gregory; a daughter Ona Fayrene South; two
sons, Larry Gordon Troxell and Roy Phillip Troxell; a brother; and two sisters.

Homer T Gregory, 66
Homer Thomas Gregory, 66, formerly of Muncie died Thursday in his home at
Stearns, Kentucky. He was a native of Wayne County Kentucky and had worked at
American Lawnmower Corp. He had lived a short time in Muncie,before returning to
Kentucky in 1977. Surviving are his wife Minnie Dobbs Gregory, 3 sons; Shellie
Gregory, Muncie, Ancil, Oakwood GA, and Linville of Stearns. 9 grandchildren, 2
great grandchildren. Services will be at 2p.m today in Pleasant Ridge Baptist
Church in Stearns with Rev. Earl Davis and Lonnie Smith Officiating. Burial will
follow in Sherd Dobbs Cemetery there. Calling hours are after 8:30 am today at
Hickman Funeral Home, Whitely City Kentucky and one hour before services today
at the Church.

JESSIE FRANCIS GREGORY, age 82, passed away Saturday, June 19, 1999 at Wayne
County Hospital. He was born on March 10, 1917, the son of Eli and Effie Koger
Gregory. Both parents preceded him in death. He is survived by 3 sons James P.
Gregory of Anderson, Indiana, Kenneth Gregory of Markleville, Indiana, and
Donald K. Gregory of Belleview, Florida; 2 sisters-Evalee Roberts of Monticello,
Kentucky and Gladys Upchurch of Lanesville, Indiana; and several grandchildren,
great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is an infant
daughter Jane Phyllis Gregory, 4 sisters Alpha Hancock, Lula Cooper, Mary Helen
and Ina Ada Gregory; and 3 brothers Roy and Robert Gregory and an infant
brother. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 23, 1999 at 1 P.M. in the
funeral home chapel with Brother Koger Ramsey officiating. Burial was in the Elk
Spring Cemetery.

NOBLE GREGORY
MUNCIE- Noble Gregory, 77, died Sunday in his home after a long illness. Mr
Gregory had lived in Delaware County for more than 47 years. He was a Army
veteran serving in the 123rd Calvary. He worked for Delco Battery for more than
30 years before retiring in 1980. He had worked for the Stearns Coal Mine
Comapny in Kentucky. He attended Burlington Freewill Baptist Church and was a
member of Eagles Lodge 231. Survivor's include his wife of 37 years, Opal Dobbs
Gregory, 3 daughters, Faye Beatty ( husband Edgar) Reba Kay Gregory and Daisy
Mae Copher ( husband Alan) a brother Hobert Gregory. 10 grandchildren, and 9
great grandchildren. Three sister's are deceased. Services will be in Garden
View Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Gardens of Memory. Calling will be
from 5-8pm and an hour before services Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Memorials
maybe sent to the Cancer Society of Delaware County.

MUNCIE - Regal Gregory, 69, went to be with his Lord Saturday, February 5th
2005. He was born in Stearns, KY on April 16, 1935 to Edgar and Dovie "Koger"
Gregory. He lived in Muncie his entire adult life and retired from Franks
Foundry in 1984. He was a faithful member of Westside United Baptist Church,
which he loved very much. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter. He left
behind his loving wife of 48 years, Rillie Cooper-Gregory; 6 children, Brenda
Rook (husband, Jerry), Bremerton, WA, Linda Wright (husband, Harvey), Muncie,

WILLIARD A GREGORY
Willard A Gregory, 64, 1601 E McGalliard died Thursday afternoon in Ball
Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services are set for 4:00pm Saturday in
Meeks Mortuary, burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Hours are from 6-8pm
today and one hour before services Saturday. Mr Gregory was born in Monticello,
Kentucky, attended school there and came to Muncie in 1941. He served in the
Army in World War II. He was a manager at Hartley Oil until his retirement a few
years ago. He was a member of the IOOF lodge 345 of Yorktown. Surviving are his
wife, Violet Wages Gregory, a daughter Billie Jean Jessup, Pendleton, a son
Donald of Muncie, a sister; Lillie Simpson, Victorville California, 3 brothers;
Hazel of Logansport, Glen of Frankfurt, and Ault of Monticello Kentucky and 2
grandchildern.

Willie L Gregory, age 77 years, 7 months, 2 weeks and 4 days old, passed away on
Tuesday February 24 in the Scott County Hospital in Oneida Tennessee. Mr Gregory
was a native of Wayne County, was born July 6, 1892. On August 16, 1910 he was
married to Ada Koger, and to this union 12 childern were born, 10 of whom
survive, namely, Edwin Gregory, Muncie Indiana, Clyde Gregory, Muncie Indiana,
Lela Gregory, Cincinnati Ohio, Alta Walters, Pine Knot KY, Edna Maples,
Knoxville Tennessee, Marie Simpson, Newport KY, Williard Gregory, Hill Top Ky,
Dillard Gregory, Cinncinnati, Ruby Phipps, Muncie Indiana, Irene Gregory and
Rosie Gregory died at birth. Raised one grandchild, Edward Gregory, Cinncinnati
Ohio, grandchildern 54, great grandchildern 67, Mr Gregory was a member of the
Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery at Parmleysville. He was a retired Coal Miner,
being a miner for thirty-five years, spending most of his life in McCreary
County. He moved to Wayne County 12 years ago. Willie Gregory had many friends
in Wayne County, also New Castle Indiana and Ohio. He was loved and respected by
all who knew him. Funeral services were held on Friday February 27th at 2;00 pm
at the Old Bethel Baptist Church at Parmleysville with Rev. Earl Davis and Rev.
Eldon Denny officating. Burial was in the Old Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery at
Parmleysville. Hickey Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
