I, Robert Stewart of
the County of Pulaski and State of Kentucky do hereby
make my last Will and Testament in manner following that
is to say 1st I desire that immediately after
my decease there by a sufficiency of the perishable part
of my property be sold to pay all my just debts and
funeral expenses, 2ndly I give to my wife
Sarah Stewart all my estate of every kind during her
natural life to be enjoyed by her and the minor children
for support maintenance & education & I also give
to my said wife the use and free possession of my land
during her natural life and at her death, I desire the
lands to descend to and by equally enjoyed by my three
sons William Stewart, Caldwell Stewart & Robert
Stewart, Jr. and their heirs forever and should there by
any personal property of my estate at the death of my
said wife remaining, I desire that it be equally divided
among all my heirs having respects to advancements and
lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend
Thomas Doolin, Executor of my Last Will and Testament,
hereby revoking all other or former Wills by me
heretofore made in Witness Whereof I hereunto set my name
and affix my seal this 2nd day of March, 1849. Robert Stewart Signed, sealed and delivered as and for the last Will and Testament of the above named Robert Stewart. William Starnes Vincent Garner David McKenzie State of Kentucky, Pulaski County, Sct. At a County Court held for the County aforesaid at the Courthouse thereof in the Town of Somerset on Monday the 21st day of May 1849, a writing purporting to be the Last Will & Testament of Robert Stewart deceased proven by the oaths of David McKenzie and Vincent Garner subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and the same is done accordingly.
