(abstract of obituary)

Louis N. Grabeel, born February 19 [possibly 18; digit is slightly
blurred] 1870 to Jacob and Rhoda Grabeel; married Rowena Tarter on April
12, 1914; died October 22, 1942. His wife preceded him in death by 16
years. 'He lived most of his life a resident of Pulaski county but moved
to Jabez in 1928 at wich place he lived until his passing.' Survived by
three nieces: Mrs. Vanna Lovelace of Oil Center, Ky., Mrs. Eva Patterson
of Indiana, and Mrs. Ann Crew of Downey, Cal.; and four nephews [three
named]: John Grabeel of Jabez, Everett Grabeel of Bakersville, Cal.,
Jeff Rose of Columbia. Funeral services conducted by Elder Clifford
Randall of Science Hill at the West Somerset Baptist church, with burial
in the West Somerset cemtery
