Abbott is no better at this writing Mrs. Wash Brewster is able to walk across the house without her crutches after a confinement of about 3 months Lonnie Hudson returned from Indiana where he had been winding up his business. The ladies of Briery gave Erastus Vaught a
surprise social last Tuesday. They demanded that he
should cook their dinner for them, to which demand he
responded and spread before them a nice dinner. It
was enjoyed by all
. Mrs. J.R. Pleasant gave a
social entertainment and dinner in honor of Miss Vesta
Back Thursday who was going home. Everybody had a
good time and enjoyed the occasion

F. Griffin Saturday night and Sunday. They were accompanied home by Mr. and Mrs. Griffin The big sleet and ice in this vicinity has caused quite a bit of repair work on the telephone lines Mr. and Mrs. Mack Griffin and son spent the day Sunday with Uncle Sam Harrington and family Friends and relatives of Mrs. W.R. York are glad to know she is improving and are very anxious for her recovery We are glad to learn Mrs. Trivett is improving under the treatment of Dr. Marlon Warren at Science Hill Ira Trivett was in Somerset Friday and Saturday of last week Chas. B. Surber was visiting his sister, Mrs. Mack Griffin one day last week .. Miss Verda Greene called on the Misses Gragg Monday afternoon .. Several from this vicinity attended the funeral of Clad Merritt at Eubank last Thursday afternoon. |
