John Adams was born 5/14/1852 in Clay Co. and died in Perry Co. in 1917 but lived most of his life in Owsley Co, where he married Martha Jane Hornsby in 1876, and reared 12 children. He was the son of William "Squire" Adams and Nancy Snowden and is buried with his family in the Hornhill Cemetery, Booneville, Owsley County, Kentucky.
