ELBRIDGE GOSSETT DOUGLAS

Larvonia Elbridge (Gossett) Douglas Davis was the daughter of James T. & Eliz C. (Slaughter) Gossett. She married for the first time to James L. Douglas on 25 January 1872 in Metcalfe Co KY. James L. died while in his thirties from gangreen after falling from a ladder and injurying his leg. He is buried near Wisdom, in Metcalfe Co KY. Elbridge was left with six young children to raise. She remarried on 26 July 1914 in Metcalfe County to Joseph Green Davis. She is buried in the Douglas-Poynter Cemetery in Northern Metcalfe County.
