Church Group at Lincoln Memorial
Contributed by Lillie Rackley
Found this picture in Mama's pictures. I remember her saying it was "our church group that went to Abe Lincoln's birthplace." Back of picture is stamped "August 1950" by Kodak. My dad is on the very back row, last one on right. Mama is between the 2nd and 3rd columns on the building, with a part in her hair, and Billy my brother is at her elbow. I am the 2nd girl to the left of Billy. We think Doris Mitchell and Elsie Keith (to Doris' right) are on the front row with their knees pulled up. My mother was Christine Hubbard before she married William Robert Garmon. I don't know if this is the Foundation Methodist Church or the Sulphur Well Baptist Church, or it might even be Pink Ridge, but I don't think it is Pink Ridge. Any help identifiying the church & these people would be greatly appreciated!
