Mrs. Necay Cordell Wood, 82, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 1975, at her home in Monticello, Ky. Her death was sudden and unexpected. Her husband, Robert Wood, survives./  The deceased, a daughter of the late Calvin and Rhoda Ann Watson, was born in Wayne County (now McCreary) August 7, 1892. She lived in McCreary County for most of her lifetime. She was a housewife and a member of the Pine Knot United Baptist Church./  Survivors, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Fuller, Rome, Ga., and Mrs. Pearlie Hickman, Monticello; five sons, Ted Cordell, Marshes Siding, William Cordell and Lloyd Cordell, Revelo; Ellis Cordell, Tyler, Texas, and Dester Cordell, Cincinnati, all children of her first marriage. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Miller, Revelo, and Mrs. Lillie Watters, Muncie, Ind.; 35 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren./ Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan 28, at 2 p.m. in Pine Knot United Baptist Church. Rev. Wheeler and Rev. Harold Jones officiated./  Burial was in Hickman Cemetery./  Serving as active pallbearers were her grandson, Tony Cordell, Charles Salter, Denny Cordell, Edward Cordell, Lloyd Salter and Roger Cordell./  McCreary county Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
