WILLIAM HARVEY WINCHESTER, 59, died suddenly
at his home in Stearns Friday night, February 26 from a ceberal
hemorrhage.
Mr. Winchester, a coal miner and merchant, was
a member of one McCreary County's oldest and respected families.
Funeral services were held at the home Monday,
March 1 at 1:30 o'clock with the Rev. Robert Fitts officiating.
Burial was in the Hickman Cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose Troxell
Winchester, three daughters, Mrs. Eva Tucker and Mrs. Aldena
Boles, Stearns, and Mrs. Christine Roberts, Belfry, Ky.; four
sons, Wilburn of Cincinnati, Finis and Willard, Belfry, Ky., and
W. H. Winchester, Jr. Santa Monica, Calif.; brothers, Luther and
Haney, Stearns, Frank M. Oakwood, Va., and Harry, Fort Pierce,
Fla., and sisters, Mrs. Inman Newport, Stearns and Mrs. Mamie
Glumb, Fort Pierce, Fla.
