Harry D.
Winchester, 52, Hollywood, Fla., died Sunday, July 18,
in Maples, Fla. The body was returned to McCreary County for
burial. The deceased was born in McCreary County August 3,
1918, the son of the late
Frank Winchester and Elizabeth Troxell Winchester. He was
educated in the McCreary County schools and lived here until
after the end of World War II and was employed as a salesman at
the time of his death. Funeral services were held Saturday,
July 24, in Hickman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lee Mason,
pastor of the First Baptist Church, Stearns, officiating. Burial
was in the Pine Knot Cemetery. Hickman Funeral Home in
charge. Survivors are a son, Frank Winchester, Fort Pierce,
Fla.; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Shirley Biggles, Mrs. Carol Fore,
Mrs. Frances Wilkus and Mrs. Wilma Heffy, all living in Florida;
two brothers, Haney Winchester, Stearns, and Frank Winchester,
Oakwood, Va., and two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Dennard, Lakeworth,
Fla., and Mrs. Kitty Newport, Stearns.
