Frank A. Waters
Frank A. Waters, 83, a resident of Hill Top, died Wednesday,
March 19, at Scott County Hospital after a long
illness. He was born July 28, 1885, and was a native
of Tennessee. He lived most of his life in McCreary County and
worked in the coal mines. He was a member of the Pleasant Rock
Baptist Church. His parents, Mose Waters and Linda Winchester
Waters and his wife Lee Vadie Slaven preceded him in
death. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Edna
Gibson, Cincinnati; three sons, Buddy Waters, Hill Top; Harold
Waters, Whitley City; James Bradley Waters, Route 1, Stearns;
three brothers, Sid Waters, Pine Knot; Henley Waters, Whitley
City; Lewis Anderson, Route 1, Stearns, and a sister, Mrs. Eva
Cooper. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00
p.m. in the Pleasant Rock church with Rev. Calvin Corder
officiating. Burial was in Hickman Cemetery with Hickman Funeral
Home in charge. His grandsons served as his pallbearers.
