Alice Mary Waters

Alice Mary Waters (Mrs.), 82, a resident of Smithtown, Ky., for 48 years, dies Monday, October 19, in
Somerset City Hospital. The deceased was born August 27, 1888 in Kentucky and was a daughter of the late Sarah Ann Sweet Troxell and Peter Troxell. She was a resident of the Smithtown Community for 48 years and a member of the Pleasant Rock Baptist Church. Her husband, Sherman Dan Waters, a daughter, Ada Waters, and one son, Rev. Robert Waters preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Calvin Corder and Rev. Maynard Blevins Wednesday, October 20, at 2:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Rock Baptist Church. Burial was in Hickman Cemetery with Hickman Funeral Home in charge.  Survivors are 7 sons and 1 daughter, Rev. Milford Waters and Dan Waters Jr., both living in Sidney, Ohio, Lincoln Waters, Smithtown; Everett Waters, Galon, Ohio; Mrs. Ruth Duncan and Edgar Waters, both living in Cincinnati; Tom Waters and Linville Waters, Covington. Also surviving are 36 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
