BERTHA WATERS PHILLIPS

BERTHA WATERS PHILLIPS, 54 years of age, died March 7th at the General Hospital in Cincinnati. The body was returned here to Hickman funeral home on Wednesday, March 9th awaiting burial.
     The beloved wife of Ira Phillips, she was a former resident of the wolf Creek community, but had lived in Cincinnati with her family for several years. She became a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church early in life and remained a member in good standing until her death.
     She is survived by her husband, and two daughters, Estelle and Adaline Phillips, living at 123 Green Street, Cincinnati; one son Glenn Phillips, Amherst, Ohio; also daughters, Mrs. Sue Nutley, Marion, Ind., and Mrs. Essie Gibson, Muncie, Ind., and two brothers, Nim and Elmer Waters, Hill Top.
     Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Luther Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Jim Coffey Cemetery.
