Frank Cooper
Frank Cooper, 91, well-known resident of the Pine Knot community,
died Monday, September 27, in Somerset City Hospital, terminating
a prolonged illness. His widow, Mrs. Kizzie Winchester Cooper,
survives. Mr. Cooper, a native of McCreary County, was born
April 13, 1880. He was a son of the late Wilse Cooper and
Elizabeth Shepard Cooper. He was a member of the Baptist Church
and a retired coal miner. Besides his widow, he is survived
by five sons and five daughters, Wilburn Cooper of Somerset,
Ernest and Everett Cooper of Pine Knot, Quentin Cooper of
Florida, Ted Cooper of Arkansas, Mrs. Zora King of Texas, Mrs.
Grace King of Pine Knot, Mrs. Juanita Richie of Illinois, Mrs.
Gladys Hicks of Whitley City and Mrs. Joyce Strunk of
Alabama. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2
p.m. from Hickman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Ball
officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery. Hickman
Funeral Home was in charge.
