Charles L. Whittamore

WHITTAMORE, Charles L. Age 70 of W. Carrollton, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2004 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born September 28, 1933 in Richmond, KY, the son of the late Bert & Lucy (Combs) Whittamore. He was a retired employee of GM with 33 years of service, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of the VFW Post #3438, W. Carrollton.

Preceded in death by his wife Martha L., in 1995. He is survived by his son Burgoyne B. Whittamore and wife Juanita of Kingsport, TN, 2 daughters Joyce A. Whittamore of W. Carrollton, and Sherry L. McCabe and husband Jeff of Greenville, OH, brother Ed Whittamore and wife Margaret of Dayton, sister Pauline Welch of Hamilton, OH, 4 grandchildren David Lee & Joshua Allen Whittamore both of Kingsport, TN, Jesse & Kalin McCabe both of Greenville, OH, and his friend Glenn Green of W. Carrollton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from the SWART FUNERAL HOME, W. Carrollton. Burial will follow at the Hillgrove Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in his memory.
