John William Tincher

John William Tincher, 49, of Richmond, died early Sunday, October 3, 2004, from
injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He was born in Hazard, Kentucky to Wilgus and Lou Ella (Marshall) Tincher. He
worked as an Operations Technician for PPG Industries, Inc. He was retired from
the U S Marine Corps, a member of the Masonic Lodge of Virginia and of the
Southern Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Shelstad) Tincher of Richmond, his children
Jake and Jenny Tincher, both of Richmond and Tina Blackford of Middletown, Ohio;
two brothers, Ellis Tincher and Anthony Tincher; four sisters, Judie Tincher,
Linda Turner, Brenda Fugate and Darlene Barnett.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant son, John
Wilgus Arland Tincher.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Oldham, Roberts &
Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Holmes and Rev. Russell Gross officiating.
Burial will follow at the Tincher Family Cemetery, in Breathitt County, where
graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Friends will be
received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Nephews will serve as
casket bearers.
