Lloyd
“Junior” Stewart Jr. died at his home on June 30, 2004 due to a long
battle with diabetes at the age of 59. He was a life long farmer and
retiree of the Madison County Board of Education as a bus driver for 27
years. He was a member of the Owsley Fork Baptist Church.
He was born
in Madison County to Boyd and the late Ada Clemmons Stewart.
In addition
to his father he is also survived by two children Robert (Sherrie)
Stewart of Breathitt County and Debbie (Kenny) Lamb of Berea; four
grandchildren Faith and Hannah Stewart, Casey and Scott Lamb; seven
sisters Idona (the late Denson) Turner, Bernice (Ermon) Turner, Beulah
(Bobby) Ball, Mary-Ruth (Raymond) Lewis, Jenetta (Jimmie) Lamb, Linda
(Robert) Van Winkle all of Berea and Katherine Fischer of Lexington.
Funeral
services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with
Rev. Wayne Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilot Knob
Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral
home.
Pallbearers
will be Ermon Turner, Jimmie Lamb, Larry Gray, Bobby Ball, Jimmy Turner
and Eric Turner. Honorary bearers will be Charlie Abney, Raymond Lewis,
Doug Centers and Robert Van Winkle. |
