Quincy Blevines "QB" Starnes

Quincy Blevines "QB" Starnes, 91, of Curtis Pike in Madison County, died Sunday,
Sept. 19, 2004, in Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center in Richmond. A
lifelong citizen of Madison County, Mr. Starnes was a farmer and owner of a
clock repair business. He was one of the early members of the National Watch and
Clock Association.
Mr. Starnes was preceded in death by his parents John and Katie Tanksley
Starnes. Mr. Starnes is survived by his wife, Lois Wilder Starnes of Richmond;
one son, Winford Wilder Starnes of Athens, Tenn.; one daughter, Nancy (Samuel)
Starnes Lane of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Mildred Crace of Lancaster; two
granddaughters, Suzette (Jeff) Starnes Whitehead and Stephanie (Jamie) Starnes
Davis, both of Athens, Tenn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at
Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home in Richmond with William Forquer
officiating. Burial will follow in the Manse Cemetery. Visitation will be
Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bill Crace, John Crace, Paul Starnes, Earl Starnes, Donnie
Starnes, Charles Starnes and Jim Starnes.
The family request that any memorial contributions be made to one's favorite
charity.
