Glenn L. Shupe, age 76, of 366 Short Line Pike, Berea, died Friday, March 12, 2004 at the Berea Hospital. He was a Galax, VA native born Oct. 10, 1927, son of the late Gurney and Ruth White Shupe, W.W. II U.S. Navy veteran, former Berea College Woodcraft foreman, retiree of Dresser Industries, and an active member of Silver Creek Baptist Church, where he had served as Sunday School teacher, Sunday School director and youth director.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Janet (Paul) Hert of Berea; 1 brother, Earl Shupe of Berea, 1 sister, Mary Anna Cassaday of Ohio; 1 grandson, Glenn B. Hert of Berea. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Thelma Jackson Shupe, 1 daughter, Jeanne Shupe, and 3 brothers.

Funeral service 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Reppert Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Rendleman officiating. Visitation after 2:00 PM Sunday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Adult Men's Sunday School Class at Silver Creek Baptist Church or the Glades Christian Church Building Fund.
