Ethel B. Rose
age 83 of Walker Lane in Berea, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2003
at her home.
Ethel was
born June 11, 1920 in Jackson County, Kentucky to the late Willie
Lainhart and the late Mille Isaacs Bowles. She was a member of the 1016
Holiness Church.
In addition
to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Hesmer Rose,
one son Dalford Rose, one brother Delphis Lamb and two sisters Shirley
Lamb and Meadie Lamb.
Ethel is
survived by her mother-in-law Mary Rose of Berea; 9 children Carolyn
(Dalton) Jones of Richmond, A.D. (Margaret) Rose of Berea, Voyd Rose of
Berea, Cleve (Antoinetta) Rose of LA, California, Gary (Marvena) Rose of
Berea, Linda (Steve) Carpenter of Berea, Carl (Kim) Rose of Berea,
Clifton (Pam) Rose of Berea and Gerald (Rita) Rose of Paint Lick; 23
grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Several sisters and
brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.
Funeral
services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2003 at Lakes Funeral
Home in Berea with Rev. John Isaacs and Rev. Leonard Wilder officiating.
Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday
after 6:00 p.m. and Sunday after 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers
will be Mike Sparks, David Rose, James Voyd Rose, Kendall Bailey, Dustin
Rose, Austin Rose, Eric Rose, Shane Rose, Ben Rose and Thomas Rose.
