Dallas Rogers
age 76 of Glades St. in Berea, passed away Thursday May 6, 2004 at the
Hospice Care Center at St Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Dallas was a
longtime resident of Berea and a retired employee of Parker Seal Co. He
was a member of the Baptist Faith and a Korean War veteran. Dallas was
born in Madison Co. Kentucky to the late Burt and Gracie Powell Rogers.
Dallas is
survived by his wife of 52 years Carol Parker Rogers. He is also
survived by his daughter Wanda (Donald) Combs; 4 grandchildren Regina
Adams, Scott David (Anna) Anglin, Crystil (Jason) Chasteen, Dallas Jason
(Amy) Combs all of Berea; 8 great grandchildren Dakota, Jaycee, Kobe,
Savannah, Ashleigh, Kara, Aaron, Candace. 1 brother Paul Rogers of
Richmond, 3 sisters Christine Marcum of Richmond, Mae Carpenter of
Berea, Marie Stewart of Richmond, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition
to his parents, Dallas was also preceded in death by 1 daughter Dorothy
Rogers; and 1 brother J.D. Rogers.
Funeral
services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2004 at Lakes Funeral Home in
Berea with Pastor Greg Lakes and Rev. Cecil Burns officiating. Burial
will follow in the Berea Cemetery with full military rights. Visitation
will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. at Lakes Funeral Home.
