Virginia C. Robinson
RICHMOND - Virginia C. Robinson, widow of James E. Robinson (founder of
Continental Metal Specialty) passed away on Fri., Oct. 22, 2004 after a
courageous fight with lung cancer. She is survived by her children, James R.
(Robbie) Robinson, Richmond, KY, and Mary Carol Worley (Sam), Lexington. Her
sister, Mary Margaret Phelps (Joseph W.), Louisville, KY. One cousin, Ella Park,
Richmond. A niece, Melanie McCool (Steve) and nephew J. William Phelps and two
great nephews, Brandt and Glenn McCool, all of Louisville. Services will be 11
am Mon., Oct. 25, at the First Presbyterian Church in Richmond, with Dr. William
Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will
be Sun., Oct. 24, from 5-8 pm, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home,
Richmond. Pallbearers will be Jason Worley, Feddie Ballou, Steve McCool, Rudolph
Leake, Ben Wingate, Steve Mattingly and Walt Park. Honorary Pallbearers will be
Porter Richmond, Dick Ray, John Wilson Brandenburg, Bill Rice, Eugene Wiggins,
Edward Gage, Joseph W. Phelps, and Glenmore Jones. The family requests memorials
be made to Hospice Care Plus: 208 Kidd Drive, Berea, KY, 40403.
