William H. Riddell

William H. Riddell, 83, husband of Sarah A. Riddell, died Saturday, Oct. 9,
2004, at his home in Berea.
Born in Richmond, he was the son of the late Harry Allen and Will Lena Green
Riddell. He was a retired employee of the Bluegrass Army Depot and a veteran of
the United States Army, where he fought in World War II. He was also a member of
the Whites Memorial Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Anderson Riddell; two sons, James W. (Cathy)
Riddell of Commerce City, Colorado and Donnie L. (Beverly) Riddell of
Winchester; one brother, Charles W. Riddell of Richmond; four sisters, Juanita
Hoover of Panola, Allie Gay Johnson of Garrard County, Shirley M. Wells of
Richmond, and Annell Beasley of Florida; six grandchildren, Richard Riddell,
Kevin Riddell, Keith Riddell, Tonya Riddell Henry, Scott A. Riddell and Russ
Coy; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Harry Allen
Riddell and one grandchild, James Riddell.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesaday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral
Home with Rev. Bob Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond
Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Oldham, Roberts, &
Powell Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Richa Wells, M.R. (Rusty) Hoover, Scott
A. Riddell, John A. McWilliams, John L. Green III, G. Keener Mallicote, Robert
Sloe, Bruce Fraley and Jerry Harrison. Honorary pallbearer will be Woodrow
Harrison.
