Bessie
Leer Nave, 86, widow of H. Duncan Nave, and formerly of Nicholasville, died
Sunday, November 23, 2003. A native of Madison County, KY, she was a daughter of
Judge Vernon and Bessie Tribble Leer. She was a member of Nicholasville
Christian Church, Lexington Country Club, Keeneland Club, Clio Club and the
Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Duncan
Nave Bass; granddaughter, Elizabeth Vance Jenkins; three great grandchildren,
Van Ransler Jenkins, IV, Miranda Weathers Jenkins, and John Duncan Jenkins, all
of Lexington. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her
son-in-law, Jim H. Bass. Services will be 11 AM Wednesday at Maple Grove
Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY. Casket bearers will be Henry Knight, C.V.
Ethington, Bill Arvin, Gus Bynum, Hugh Logan Scott and Gary Denton. Visitation
will be 4-7 PM Tuesday at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Broadway. Memorials may be made
