Lucy Ethel Parke Green McLaughlin, 89, of Moberly Road, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2004 a the Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sterling (Nancy Covington) Parke. Mrs. McLaughlin was preceded in death by one brother Jonah Parke and her first husband John William Green. She was a retired sales clerk and a member of the Waco Baptist Church.

She is survived by husband, Enoch McLaughlin of Richmond; daughter, Sterlan (Chester) Lawson of Waco; daughter, Nancy (Ralph C.) Azbill of Richmond; granddaughter, April (Skip) Benton; granddaughter, Carlavon (Billy) Wells; granddaughter, Melanie (Mark) Abeling; granddaughter, Leslie (Chris) Cloonan; grandson, John (Jackie) Azbill; grandson, Jason (Jenny) Azbill and 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and one cousin.

Pallbearers will be Billy Wells, Skip Benton, Mark Abeling, John Azbill, Jason Azbill and Matt Abeling. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Parke, Boyd Wells, Bobby Young, John McWilliams Jr., James William Harris, Harold Harris and Everett Green.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m.Saturday at the Turpin Funeral Home with Reverend Fred Livingood and Reverend John Savage officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Waco Baptist Church Building Fund, 3646 New Irvine Road, Waco, Ky. 40385.
