Ralph Mayes, 79 of Dreyfus, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004.
He was born in Owsley County the son of the late Calvin and Dora Campbell Mayes.
He was a farmer and a member of the Holiness Faith. He was proceeded in death by
his wife, Evelyn Kelley Mayes, five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include one step-son, Harold Kelley of Richmond; seven sons, Lonnie,
Arthur, Ralph (Judy), Micheal, Donald (Donna), Ricky (Marcia) and Charles
(Marilyn); one daughter, Sandra Mayes, all of Madison County; three
step-granddaughters, Angela Dickerson, Marlena Johnson and Becky Johnson; one
step-grandson, Ralph Kirby and one special grandson, Keaton Mayes; three
step-great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Mayes and one sister, Nellie
Reynolds; a special family friend, Roger Mattox; several nieces and nephews and
friends at Kroger.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Combs, Parsons and
Collins Funeral Home with Roy Murphy and Ralph Hobbs officiating.
Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy in the form of donations to help
with recent expenses.
