Dorothy Marcum age 89 of Big Hill Rd. Berea widow of William Marcum died Friday Oct. 15, 2004.

Dorothy was born in Madison County to the late Charlie and Bert Lakes McHone. She was a member of the Pilot Knob Baptist Church.

Dorothy is survived by her children Pauline Poole, Lucille Lakes both of Berea and Jean Brown of Richmond; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy is also preceded in death by one son Archie Marcum, one daughter Alberta Marcum, two sisters and one infant brother.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday October 18, 2004 at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with Rev. Robert Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Cow Bell Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening after 6:00 p.m. at Lakes Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Scott Kaylor, Jagger Kaylor, Chad Brandenburg, Dean Moore, Nick Moore and Donald Stokley. Honorary bearers will be Ben Richardson, Wayne Lewis and Jackie Moore.
