Bessie
Mae Phillips Lewis, 89, formerly of Reed Lane and 573 Rosemill Drive, Lexington,
widow of Eubert Lewis died Thursday January 1, 2004 at the Pattie A. Clay
Hospital in Richmond. She was born in Harrodsburg, Kentucky daughter of the late
Frank and Sadie Anderson Phillips. Surviving are two sons and one daughter,
Donald Gene Phillips [ Janice] , Richmond, Kentucky, Brenda Schneider, [Barry],
Wilmington, North Carolina and Gregory Eubert Lewis, Lexington, one sister, Sue
Phillips, Lexington, three grandchildren, Steven Summers, Lara Metzger and Julie
Schneider, and two great grandchildren, Elaine Metzger and Ella Metzger. Funeral
services will be 10 A.M. Monday at the W.R.Milward Mortuary-Southland conducted
by Rev. William K. Simmons with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends may
call 3-5 P.M. Sunday.
