Mallie Maree Peace Jacobs, 89, of Berea died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at her home. She was a native of Tazewell, Tenn., a former resident of Niobe, N.Y., and Plant City, Fla., a housewife and a member of the Niobe Baptist Church, Niobe, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger N. Jacobs, and her parents, John Bruce and Sarah Neeley Peace. Mrs. Jacobs is survived by her children, Edna Mae Hill, Edwina Marie Wing and John N. Jacobs, all of Berea, and Milton E. Jacobs of Winter Haven, Fla.. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and two special friends, Bonnie Clyatt of Ft. Meade, Fla., and Colleen Steward of Ashville, N.Y.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jacobs will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Niobe Baptist Church in Niobe, N.Y., with the Rev. Kevin Hadley and the Rev. Claude Eggleston officiating. Burial will be in the Grant Cemetery in Niobe, N.Y.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Davis and Powell Funeral Home in Berea and from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Niobe Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Niobe Baptist Church, 255 Church St., Niobe, NY 14758.
