Elmer “Hard
Tack” Lewis Isaacs Jr. age 61 of Kaye Street in Berea, passed away
Monday, January 5, 2004 at Berea Hospital.
Hard Tack was
born in Madison County, Kentucky to the late Elmer Lewis Isaacs Sr. and
Mary Pearl Hamilton Isaacs. He was a retired auto mechanic from the
Bluegrass Army Depot in Richmond.
He was
survived by his wife Janet Sue Isaacs of Berea, one son Robbie Isaacs
and his wife Monica of Richmond, 5 sisters Margaret Lucille (Willard)
Richardson of Lebanon, OH, Pauline Perkins of Lebanon, OH, Katherine
(Charles) Poole of Harveysburg, OH, Linda (Jerry) Horn of Pinson Fork,
KY and Doris Ann Isaacs of Lebanon, OH; three brothers Bailey (Margaret)
Isaacs of Saratoga Springs, NY, Harry (Patty) Isaacs of Berea and
Charles E. “Shug” Isaacs of Berea; one grandson Bo Isaacs of Richmond.
Funeral
services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2004 at Lakes Funeral
Home in Berea with Rev. William Woods officiating. Burial will follow in
the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday
evening after 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Active
pallbearers will be Chris Nicely, Brian Abney, Roger William, Robbie
Lamb, Darrell Lamb and Jimmy Lamb.
