LOUISE
BUCHIGNANI HARMON, age 51, beloved wife of Dr. Dave Harmon of Berea,
Kentucky for 26 years, passed away Friday, June 11, 2004, at Berea
Hospital. Born in Lexington, Louise was the daughter of Harold J.
Buchignani and Pat Buchignani. She was also the daughter of her ?special
mother,? Anne B. Cranfill and her special stepparents, Laurie Buchignani
and Sidney M. Cranfill.
Additional
survivors are her daughter, Elizabeth (Liz) Anne Harmon of Louisville,
her son, William (Will) Davis Harmon of Berea, her granddaughter,
Chlo蠁lexis Kilcran of Louisville, Cheri Buchignani (sister), Harold J.
Buchignani, Jr. and Barry P. Buchignani (brothers), all of Lexington,
and numerous nieces and nephews. Louise was a graduate of Lexington
Catholic High School and attended the University of Kentucky. She was a
gifted and talented massage therapist for over 20 years, working in
conjunction with her husband in his chiropractic office. She was an
active member of Berea Friends Meeting, was active in numerous church
programs, supported the home school movement with a newsletter, and
edited newsletters for two food co-ops to promote nutritional awareness.
As a long-time community volunteer, she was devoted to non-violent
conflict resolution and loving parenting.
A memorial
service will be held in Berea for friends and family at 2 p.m. Saturday,
June 19 in the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall. There will be a
private family service and burial at Lexington's Calvary Cemetery.
