Charles Edward Gibson, 82, of 201 Baugh Street, Berea, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004 at the The Terrace Nursing and Rehab Facility following an illness. He was a Pioneer, Tennessee native, born Feb. 2, 1922, son of the late Fred and Julia Walden Gibson, former school teacher in the Tennessee School System, WW II U.S. Navy veteran, and member of Berea Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Thursie Wylie Gibson of Berea, 3 daughters, Ramona Gibson of Berea, Eunice Willis of Waco, and Rebecca Bingham of Richmond; 5 sisters, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 son, Paul Gibson, and 1 brother.

Funeral service 1:00 PM, Thursday, at Reppert Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Slemp officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Cemetery. Visitation 6 - 9 pm Wednesday.
