Ralph Vernon Edwards, 82, of Winding Ridge Drive, Somerset, passed away Monday May 17, 2004 at his home. He was a native of Madison County and was born March 5, 1922 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Parks (Lucille Jones) Edwards. He was retired from the Bluegrass Army Depot and a Veteran of the United States ARMY, serving in WWII. Pallbearers will be John Congleton, Brad Congleton, Carl Sullivan, Neal Edwards, Tom Edwards, and Wallace Norris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Buddy Gaunce, Bill VanHooke, and Frank Pitman. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday May 19, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Turpin Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Altman officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 Tuesday May 18, 2004 at the Turpin Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association.
