Raymond
Causey age 79 of Garrard County, passed away May 25, 2004 at his home
due to complications of cancer.
Mr. Causey
was born in Leslie County on February 13, 1925 to the late C.B. and Mary
Ann Wells Causey. He was a member of the Leavel Green Christian Church
in Paint Lick. He was also a farmer and was a construction worker who
worked on the Alaskan Pipeline.
He is
survived by his wife Eunice Hopkins Causey of 62 years of marriage; one
daughter Brenda (Ray) Gabbard; two sons Larry (Sadie) Causey and Danny
(Janice) Causey all of Garrard County; six grandchildren Scott Gabbard,
Eric Gabbard both of Berea, Brandi Zaccarelli of Lexington, Kim Hacker
and Shannon Causey of Garrard County, Tara Carpenter of Berea; five
great grandchildren Chase Gabbard, Raymond Young Causey, Sidney
Carpenter, Lauren and Sara Zaccarelli; six step grandchildren Amy Eads,
Jennifer Kelley and son Matthew, Tyler and Kelsie Barrett and Kristin
Zaccarelli; two brothers Bill Causey and John Causey both of Paint Lick;
three sisters Goldie Tuder, Lizzie Adams both of Berea and Mae Lamb of
Danville.
In addition
to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Herbert, Sam
and Jim Causey.
Funeral
services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2004 at Lakes Funeral Home in
Berea with Rev. Harvey Spry and Rev. Dale Ballinger officiating. Burial
will follow in the Cartersville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6:00
p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Active
pallbearers will be Homer Strong, Hershel Isaacs, Shelby Ray Hopkins,
Lonnie Napier, Russell Lee Anglin and Jerry Lee Causey.
