Norma Jean
Parke Cain, 58, born April 20, 1946 of Richmond, Kentucky, wife of
Richard Cain, her husband of 32 years, died suddenly Thursday at her
residence. She was a native of Madison County, the daughter of the late
Horace C. and Nannie Turpin Parke, a member of the Union City Baptist
Church and attended Big Hill Avenue Christian Church. Mrs. Cain was an
employee of Kenwood House Nursing Home and a former hairdresser.
Norma is
survived by one son, Jason Richard Cain of Richmond. Jason was the light
of Norma's life and she was looking forward to seeing him graduate from
Kentucky Christian College on May 8, 2004. She is also survived by one
brother, Robert Ellis (Brenda) Parke, three sisters; Shirley Royce
(Kenneth) Farthing, Joyce Ann (Dan) Dickerson and Brenda Myrtle (Ronnie)
Reams all of Richmond. She is survived by one aunt and one uncle and
several nieces and nephews.
Visitation
for Mrs. Cain will be from 3-6 Saturday 5-1-2004, Turpin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday May 2, 2004 at 2:00 by
Reverend Mark Pearson at Turpin Funeral Home. Burial will follow Sunday
Afternoon at the Parke Family Cemetery. Family members and friends will
serve as pallbearers.
