Blakeman, Morris, “Gene” 83, husband of Cordelia Blakeman, died Friday August 20, 2004 in Hospice Care Center after a brief illness. Born in Madison County, KY, he was the son of the late Morris Carter and Christine Blakeman. Mr. Blakeman was the owner of Blakeman’s Billiards, a member of Meadowthorpe Presbyterian Church and W.W. II Army Air Corps Fighter Pilot Instructor. Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter Carole Gene and husband Scott Hillard of Tampa, FL; two grandsons, Jeffrey, Tampa, Fl and Scott, Binghamton, NY; a brother-in-law, Raymond Laughlin; sister-in-law, Margaret Laughlin; a special nephew, David Laughlin. Services 11:00 A.M. Mon. Hillcrest Memorial Park conducted by Rev. George V. Naze. Arrangements by W.R. Milward Mortuary-Broadway. Memorial contributions to; Meadowthorpe Presbyterian Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
