Mrs. Linda Blakeman, the aged mother of Mrs. R. S. Brown of this city died at her home in Kirksville Monday and her remains were taken to Richmond for burial on Tuesday. She was the relict of the late William Blakeman, who was well known to many Garrard county people, and the family is one of the oldest and most highly respected in the western part of Madison county.

Besides Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Blakeman is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Martha Bogie of Madison and two sons, Messrs Clay and Rufus Blakeman of Kirksville.
