Norman Ray Allen age 49 passed away Wednesday August
18, 2004. Norman lived most of his life traveling, called Lexington his
home for many years, but died in the city he was born in Berea. His
parents Mr. Rollie Ray and Mrs. Rosie (Turner) Allen are already in
heaven, along with their two sons Asa and Amos Junior, now he will go to
join the family circle. He is survived by one daughter Christa Sue
Bledsoe (husband Ricky), one granddaughter Whitney Lee Bledsoe all of
Frankfort. Four sisters Alberta (Dale) Davidson of Lexington, Thelma
(David) Hatton of McKee, Carrie (Leonard) Wilder, Geraldine (William)
Wagers both of Berea, also one brother Stanley Earl (Judy) Allen of
Lexington. Several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and great
nephews also many other loved ones and friends left to remember the good
times they have shared here on earth with him. A lot knew him as Norman
and many knew him as Ray. One who devoted most of his life to helping
others, not asking for anything in return. He will be missed by his
family and friends, but now he has won his robe and crown.
Services for Norman will be 2:00pm Friday at the
Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with Rev. Leonard Wilder officiating. Burial
will follow in the Sand Gap Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-9:00pm
